BCLC will accomplish this objective through lectures and hands-on training exercises that will familiarize students with the history of the internet. Students will also grasp an understanding of how the Internet works by exploring the Internet’s direct infrastructure. Students will learn the difference between the Internet and the World Wide Web. Once students have grasped the concept of how the Internet works, they will begin to learn about Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Uniform Resource Locators (URLs), and hyperlinks. Students will also be introduced to web browsers. When introduced to web browsers, students will learn how to use Internet browser toolbars (standard toolbar, address toolbar, etc.) They will also learn to perform simple Internet searches and much, much, more.
