This course provides the students with the knowledge and skills to become proficient in using Personal Computers, and to be effective as an end-user in the most ordinary business environments. This course will give the students a complete understanding of the Microsoft Windows environment as well as computer hardware. BCLC will accomplish this objective through lectures and hands-on training exercises that will give students an understanding of PC terminology. Students will become familiar with proper PC cable connection procedures by going into great detail about the various types of device connections and the many ways the students can connect a single device. Students will also familiarize themselves with the Microsoft Windows desktop environment by identifying the role of the operating system and navigating though the Windows environment. Students will grasp the concept of the Byte System which is imperative information needed prior to venturing through the complicated setup of files in the file system. Students will begin exploring the Control Panel which will give them the understanding of the properties that tells the Operating System how to operate as well as an integration of “Introduction to the Internet”, and much, much, more.
