At BCLC, we give the hands-on Information Technology training you need to build your skills, increase your earning power, and change your life. BCLC offers computer training classes designed to provide students with a solid foundation for continuous career growth and advancement. We emphasize the correct use of hardware and software, thus giving you a sense of increased efficiency and confidence. Our classes are carefully designed to offer timely training solutions to increase your productivity and effectiveness. We have a rich and successful tradition of higher education that has been a successful tool for students all over the Newport County area and we are looking to continue the tradition. Many different classes are available, scheduled at different times and days of the week to fit your time needs. Enrollment is limited to 12 students to ensure individualized attention. In our classroom, each student will have his or her own computer, providing a comprehensive, "hands-on" learning experience.

Ballard Computer Learning Center will bring a unique style of learning which will ensure that all students will have an equal learning opportunity. There are three styles of learning which are as follows:


Visual – The visual learner is a student that gets the most out of a class by observing and retaining what is being taught through the art of sight.

Audio – The audio learner is a student that gets the most out of a class by observing and retaining what is being taught through the art of hearing.

Tactile – The tactile learner is a student that gets the most out of a class by observing and retaining what is being taught through hands-on training.

 

All three learning styles are considered when the classes of BCLC are being designed.
